How You'll Perform the Role
Weyland Europe has a vacancy for a Production Support person in Thermoforming Department to work for Weyland Europe - Arklow site.
Responsible for serving the production hall efficiently, ensuring they have all the necessaries to complete their tasks. Remove all unused/unwanted materials back to their correct homes. Weigh all materials that are requested to be weighed. Maintain a safe and clean workplace at all times.
A fork lift licence is required for this role.
This role is available on a 3 shift rotation patten as follows; 8am-4pm Monday to Friday followed by 4pm-Midnight Monday-Friday and then MIdnight-8am Monday - Friday working 7.5 hours per day, full time.
What We Need From You
- Ensure relevant information is passed on to the next shift
- Ensure correct labels are printed for all machines that are used in production halls
- Ensure correct data is recorded on relevant paperwork, production, and quality sheets
- Ensure correct instructions and settings are followed as per SOP regarding shrink wrapping machines - Ensure work areas are kept clean, free of obstructions and hazards
- Ensure correct pallets, cartons, boxes etc. are issued on all machines and any damaged items are stored and dealt with correctly
- Driving of forklifts and other company machinery as required and when fully trained to do so
- Complete daily checklist as and when required, follow up on any issues that need attention
- Assisting production when needed, covering breaks, training, etc
- Ensure materials are segregated to reduce waste wherever possible and avoid cross contamination or other debris
- Ensure waste is removed and disposed using the most cost-effective process
- Ensure all waste is weighed where requested
- Ensure that PPT Inspection Pads are filled in correctly
- Correctly rejecting material and following reject material procedures
- Be able to operate the granulating machines
- Empty waste bins into the compacter as and when needed
- Communicate in a timely manner with warehouse ensuring that all required stock for production is continually available
- Comply with all policies and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy working environment is maintained
- Abide by the company’s environmental and quality management procedures
- Carry out any reasonable duties if request that are within your abilities, irrespective of grade/skill level
