Taipec is the UK’s leading Bubble Tea and Taiwanese food distributor. We supply a large proportion of bubble tea around the UK and are continuing to expand our business. In our latest campaigns we are reaching out to a more diverse range of clients and as result we need to expand our Business Development team.
Our sales come through two main channels: B2B sales via dedicated Account Managers, or via our website taipec.com. We also use our website for lead generation for those who are interested in becoming our trade partners.

Job description
The Role and Key Responsibilities:
You’ll be joining a young, fast-paced, engaging environment where the whole team pulls together to hit targets and there are great financial rewards for high achievements.
You will be reporting to the Sales Manager. You will be acting as an intermediary between Marketing, Sales and Operations. The weighting will depend on your specific experiences and may change as the business evolves, as your competences improve or as you gain seniority.
As a Business Development Coordinator you will be:
- Communicating with many prospective customers in the field of Bubble Tea. You will likely be the first point of contact for external customer queries and so fluency in English, both verbal and written communication, is a must-have. You will need to be able to communicate in a persuasive manner.
- Responding to calls from customers, who may have experienced issues with their order, or have general questions about opening a shop and need advice from a specialist company.
Other organisations may call this role Sales Co-ordinator, Internal Sales Executive, Internal Sales Rep, Business Development Assistant, Sales Support Executive, Sales Support Co-ordinator, or Business Development Co-ordinator.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- UK working rights. This will be checked at interview.
- Ability to balance persuasion with professionalism
- Good manners, personable.
- Ability to work independently and unsupervised.
- Flawless written communication, Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal and organisational skills. Native or perfectly-fluent English. CEFR C1 level English is expected (IELTS Level 7 and above)
- Ability to work in small teams, and showing initiative where necessary.
- Sales experience, whether in-person or remote.
- Strong time-management skills.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office suite, including MS Teams, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook. Please state to what level and any evidence you may have (e.g. ICDL Level 3)
- Strong belief in continuous improvement for yourself and the business.
- Flexible and able to travel to customer locations and events where necessary.
Desired but Optional Skills and Qualifications:

- Full UK Driving Licence
- Ability to speak and communicate in other languages
