We are a well-established manufacturer of high-quality bespoke timber doorsets and associated products, supplying the construction industry throughout the UK and beyond. Based in Ormskirk, we have over 30 years of experience and work across a wide range of sectors, including education, healthcare, mental health, commercial, and residential developments.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for a reliable and motivated Assembler / Machine Operator to join our production team.
The Role
As an Assembler / Machine Operator, you will play a key role in the manufacture of our bespoke timber doorsets and frames. Every project is different, so you'll be working from detailed job instructions to assemble products to the highest quality standards while safely operating a range of woodworking machinery.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in their workmanship, has a keen eye for detail, and enjoys working as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret work instructions accurately.
- Assemble timber door frames and related products.
- Fit ironmongery to doorsets.
- Install glazing and glazing units.
- Prepare completed products for dispatch.
- Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, and housekeeping.
- Follow all health and safety procedures.
- Operate woodworking machinery, including: Beam Saw, Edge Bander, Veneer Press, Drum Sander.
Skills & Experience
We're looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience operating woodworking machinery within a joinery, woodworking, or door manufacturing environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- A positive, professional, and reliable attitude.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workloads effectively.
- A strong awareness of health and safety within a manufacturing environment.

Working Hours
Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 5:00pm
Friday: 7:30am – 2:00pm
Pay: From £14.00 per hour
