SPECIALTY BARISTA — SHIRLEY’S 1955 (OPENING TEAM)
Shirley’s is a brand new independent cafe opening in Thatto Heath, St Helens, built around proper coffee, high quality grade Japanese matcha, fresh food, and a genuinely warm, welcoming atmosphere.
We are looking for an experienced speciality barista to join our opening team and help us build something special from day one.
This role is ideal for someone who takes real pride in drink quality, understands espresso workflow, and is confident preparing both speciality coffee and matcha drinks (including latte style and flavoured matcha).
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Preparing high quality espresso based drinks consistently
- Correct preparation of matcha beverages using proper techniques
- Maintaining a clean, organised coffee and drinks station
- Supporting front of house service during busy periods
- Helping create a friendly, positive environment for customers and team
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Previous hands on barista experience (independent café preferred)
- Confidence dialling in espresso and texturing milk correctly (latte art)
- Reliability, strong work ethic, and team mentality
- Comfortable working in a fast paced café environment
- Someone who genuinely cares about quality and customer experience
