Are you reliable, detail-oriented, and ready to play a vital role in a busy warehouse? We’re looking for a Warehouse Operative to join our team and help keep our operations running smoothly. You’ll be essential in making sure stock is received, stored, and dispatched efficiently, all while keeping our warehouse organised and safe.
What You’ll Do
- Receive, check, and put away incoming stock, reporting any discrepancies.
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for dispatch.
- Load and unload delivery vehicles safely, handling goods with care.
- Maintain accurate stock records and documentation.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organised, and compliant with health & safety standards.
- Operate warehouse equipment (pallet trucks, forklifts – if licensed) safely and responsibly.
- Support colleagues across warehouse operations and help at the trade counter or with drivers during busy periods.
- Provide relief driving cover for deliveries during staff holidays and sickness.
- Contribute to stock checks and inventory management.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience preferred, and a forklift licence (training available if needed).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with stock.
- Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling tasks safely.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Organised and able to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer literacy for stock systems and documentation.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills are also important.
