About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and highly organised Administrator to join the HR Team on a 12-month fixed-term contract to provide maternity cover. This is a part-time role, working 3 days per week (24 hours per week).
This is a varied role providing administrative support across the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, payroll administration, employee benefits, absence management, probation tracking, security clearance processes, reporting, and employee communications.
You will play a key role in ensuring our HR processes run smoothly while delivering an excellent experience for employees, managers and stakeholders across the business. Working as part of a supportive People Team, you will help coordinate a wide range of administrative activities, ensuring accurate records, efficient processes and a positive employee experience throughout the employee journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day administration of the employee lifecycle, including onboarding new starters, maintaining employee records and coordinating leavers.
- Manage HR systems, trackers and documentation, ensuring employee information is accurate and up to date.
- Provide payroll administration support, processing employee changes and maintaining payroll records.
- Administer employee benefits, life assurance schemes and salary sacrifice arrangements.
- Monitor fixed-term contracts, probation periods and related employee communications.
- Produce regular reports and management information, including headcount, starters and leavers, and employee data.
- Support internal communications, newsletters, employee recognition initiatives and People Team updates.
- Manage shared inboxes, respond to employee queries and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate meetings, inductions, presentations and other administrative activities across the People Team.
- Maintain company portals, policies, organisational information and HR resources.
- Provide general administrative support to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the HR function.
Requirements
- Strong administrative experience in a busy office or support role.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied workload and meet deadlines.
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word and Excel.
- The ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- A proactive approach and willingness to take ownership of tasks.
- Confidence working with a range of stakeholders and responding to queries professionally.
- The ability to work independently while also being part of a collaborative team.
Pay: £13.22 per hour
