Are you an enthusiastic and caring Teaching Assistant looking for a new opportunity within a primary school?
Create Education is working with a welcoming primary school in the London Borough of Croydon that is looking for a reliable Teaching Assistant to join its supportive team.
The role will involve supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2, both within the classroom and through small-group activities. You will work closely with the class teacher to help deliver engaging lessons, support pupils with their learning and create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Some pupils may require additional support with their learning, communication or emotional development, so experience or an interest in supporting children with SEND would be beneficial.
The role -
- Supporting pupils with their learning and classroom activities
- Working with individuals and small groups
- Helping the class teacher prepare and deliver engaging lessons
- Encouraging pupils’ confidence, independence and participation
- Providing additional support to pupils who may have SEND
- Helping maintain a positive, safe and inclusive classroom
- Working across EYFS, KS1 or KS2
- Full-time, long-term position
- ASAP start
- £100–£120 per day
Candidate may not tick all boxes but will have:
- Previous experience working with children is desirable
- A genuine interest in primary education
- An interest in supporting pupils with additional needs
- Caring, enthusiastic, patient and reliable
- Confident working with individuals and groups of pupils
- Able to build positive relationships with children and staff
- Able to work effectively as part of a team
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
- Right to work in the UK
