About the Role
PeoplePlus is recruiting dedicated and compassionate Team Leaders to join a children's residential home in Nottingham NG11.
Our home provides high-quality residential care and support for children and young people aged 8–17 years with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). The Team Leader plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality care and support to children and young people within our residential home, This position involves leading by example, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring that care practices meet regulatory standards and the individual needs of each child. The role requires a compassionate individual with strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of child development, and experience in residential childcare settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day running of the home.
- Lead, motivate and support the staff team to deliver high-quality care.
- Deputise for the Registered Manager when required.
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people.
- Maintain and review care plans and accurate records.
- Work in partnership with social workers, carers and other professionals.
- Promote independence and positive outcomes for young people.
- Respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns.
- Support health and safety and the effective running of the home.
- Provide direct care, key working and emotional support.
Essential Requirements
- Experience working with children and/or young people.
- Level 3 CYPW or Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (essential)
- Enhanced DBS check or willingness to complete one.
- Strong communication, leadership and safeguarding skills.
- Right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship is not available).
