In this vital role, you will be responsible for designing, installing, repairing, and maintaining fences across various projects. Your expertise will help create secure, functional, and aesthetically pleasing boundaries for residential, commercial, or industrial sites. Responsibilities
- Measure and mark fencing layouts accurately according to project specifications.
- Cut, assemble, and install different types of fencing materials such as wood and metal.
- Use hand tools and power tools to dig post holes, set posts securely, and attach fencing panels.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on existing fences to ensure longevity and safety.
- Collaborate with project managers and other trades to coordinate installation schedules and site requirements.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all phases of fencing work to prevent accidents.
- Fabricate custom fence components when necessary to meet specific design needs or site conditions.
Requirements
- Proven experience in fencing installation or related construction trades.
- Strong knowledge of carpentry, masonry, welding, plumbing, roofing, electrical work, and construction painting is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as hammers, saws, levels, post drivers; and power tools including drills and grinders.
- Ability to operate fabrication equipment for custom fence components.
- Familiarity with safety standards related to construction sites and outdoor work environments.
- Excellent physical stamina for lifting heavy materials, digging post holes, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and project managers.
