Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team in providing high-quality care to individuals in both care home and home care settings. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our clients with daily activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being. Your ability to communicate effectively and follow care plans will be essential in delivering personalised support that meets the unique needs of each individual.
Looking for care assistants to work 2 or 3 shifts over a 7 day period. Overtime available.
Shifts available:
08:00am - 20:00pm.
20:00pm - 08:00am.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support clients with mobility and physical activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Help with meal preparation and feeding as required, promoting healthy eating habits.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in clients' conditions to the appropriate personnel.
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Participate in the development and implementation of individual care plans tailored to each client's needs.
- Engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being and companionship.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are required for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Familiarity with IT systems for maintaining records and managing care plans is advantageous.
- A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others is essential for this role.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the needs of the service.
You will also be required to undertake reference checks and a Disclosure and Barring Service Check prior to being offered a position of employment.
