About the Role
Mercy in Action is seeking a capable and motivated Shop Manager to lead the day-to-day running of our Buckingham charity shop. You will oversee sales performance, manage stock, and lead a team of staff and volunteers to ensure the shop operates efficiently and meets its targets.
Eligibility
- Applicants must be 18 years of age or over.
Key Responsibilities
* Achieve sales targets while maintaining effective cost control
* Deliver a consistently high standard of customer service
* Implement local and national sales promotions
* Manage stock, pricing, and stockroom systems in line with company guidelines
* Maintain shop standards for merchandising, displays, and window presentation
* Recruit, organise, and support staff and volunteers
* Delegate tasks and oversee performance to ensure smooth shop operations
* Ensure compliance with Health & Safety procedures
* Act as key holder and ensure the security of cash, stock, staff, and premises
* Complete shop administration and report operational issues when required
This role may involve moderate bending, stretching, and lifting. Reasonable adjustments will be considered for disabled applicants.
