We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join our vibrant childcare team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with young children, supporting their development and learning in a nurturing environment. The successful candidate will be passionate about early childhood education and committed to creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive space for children to thrive. Prior nursery experience and strong communication skills are essential, along with a proactive approach to management and leadership within the team.
Duties
- Plan and deliver high-quality educational activities tailored to individual children's needs, fostering their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
- Supervise and support children during playtime, mealtimes, and organised activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues to create a cohesive team environment that promotes best practices in childcare.
- Communicate regularly with parents and carers regarding children's development, behaviour, and well-being.
- Lead by example in maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and organisation within the nursery setting.
- Contribute to the planning of curriculum activities that stimulate learning and curiosity among children.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to childcare management as required.
- Support the ongoing professional development of team members through mentoring and sharing expertise.
Requirements
- Hold a recognised Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare (or equivalent).
- Proven experience working within nurseries or early childhood education settings.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Knowledge of current safeguarding policies and procedures relevant to early years settings.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast paced environment.
- A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their developmental milestones.
