As demand continues to grow, we’re looking for experienced London Walking Tour Guides to join our freelance guide team.
The Role
You’ll lead groups of international visitors on walking tours through some of London’s most iconic neighbourhoods. Our tours focus on delivering outstanding customer experiences through storytelling, humour and genuine enthusiasm for London.
Areas you should already be confident guiding include:
- Westminster
- The City of London
- The West End
- Southwark
Experience guiding these areas is essential.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is:
- An experienced London walking tour guide (essential)
- Confident leading groups of 20-30+ guests
- An engaging storyteller with an entertaining presentation style
- Friendly, approachable and professional
- Reliable, punctual and well organised
- Comfortable adapting to different audiences and group sizes
- Flexible with availability, including weekends and peak tourism periods
- Passionate about London’s history, culture and hidden stories
- Fluent in spoken English (additional languages are a bonus)
Essential Requirements
- Previous professional experience as a walking tour guide in London
- Strong knowledge of Westminster, the City of London, the West End and Southwark
- Excellent public speaking and group management skills
- Legal right to work in the UK
- Able to travel easily to central London starting locations
Employment Details
This is a freelance, self-employed contract position.
Work is offered based on customer demand and tour schedules. Hours are not guaranteed and will vary throughout the year, with busier periods during spring, summer and other peak tourism seasons. Successful applicants should be comfortable working flexibly as demand increases.
