Overview
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Mat Pilates Instructor to join our dynamic fitness team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Pilates mat-based techniques and principles, alongside a commitment to educating clients on proper form and technique.
Our studio offers infrared Mat Pilates classes enhanced and red light therapy, creating a warm, low-impact environment designed to support muscle engagement, relaxation, and overall well-being. As an instructor, you will play a vital role in delivering safe, effective, and engaging sessions within this innovative setting.
Responsibilities
- Conduct engaging and effective infrared Mat Pilates classes for individuals and groups of varying skill levels.
- Educate clients on the principles of Pilates, including core strength, alignment, breathing, and controlled movement, while introducing them to the benefits of an infrared-heated environment.
- Demonstrate exercises clearly using mat-based sequences, and provide modifications and progressions to suit different fitness levels and physical limitations.
- Ensure the infrared heating and red light equipment are used safely and appropriately within sessions.
- Maintain a safe and welcoming environment, ensuring studio space, mats, and equipment are clean and well-maintained.
- Monitor client progress and provide constructive feedback to support their fitness goals.
- Stay updated on developments in mat Pilates, infrared training, and recovery-focused fitness.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive community among clients.
Requirements
- Certification as a Mat Pilates Instructor from a recognised institution is essential.
- Understanding of (or willingness to learn) infrared environments and red light therapy applications in a fitness setting.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, posture, and body mechanics related to floor-based exercise.
- Experience in group fitness, sports coaching, or personal training is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication and client engagement skills.
- A genuine passion for health, fitness, and client well-being.
- Ability to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive atmosphere for all participants.
