Overview
We are seeking an energetic and reliable 7.5 tonne delivery driver to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting waste management materials and equipment to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining excellent customer service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a sustainable future through efficient and responsible delivery practices.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 7.5 tonne vehicle to deliver waste management and resource materials across designated routes
- Load and unload goods with care, ensuring proper handling of flatbed loads when applicable
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to maintain safety standards
- Follow all traffic laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies during deliveries
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules, delays, or issues encountered
- Assist with securing loads on flatbeds or other specialized equipment as required
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs for compliance purposes
Qualifications
- Valid 7.5 tonne (category C1) driving license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably within waste management or commercial driving roles
- Knowledge of flatbed loading and securing techniques is advantageous
- Strong understanding of traffic regulations and safety procedures
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize deliveries efficiently
- Ability to work independently while adhering to safety standards and company policies
