We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our Prep Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for pre delivery and warranty inspections and basic repairs for a variety of vehicles, to ensure optimal performance and safety. Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues
- Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, brakes, suspension, and other vehicle systems
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out repairs and adjustments
- Replace faulty parts with genuine or approved components
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used
- Assist in the organisation of workshop workflow to meet deadlines efficiently
Qualifications
- Proven experience or training in vehicle maintenance and repair
- Strong mechanical knowledge of various vehicle systems
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Relevant qualifications such as NVQ or City & Guilds in Vehicle Maintenance are desirable but not essential
- A valid UK driving licence is mandatory
