Grounds Maintenance Team Leader

We're looking for a Grounds Maintenance Team Leader to run our crews and set the standard on site.
This isn't a title in name only. We're an Arboricultural Association Approved company with our own in-house training centre, and we expect the person leading our grounds teams to be the best operator on the van as well as the one calling the shots. If you can do the work to a high standard, hold a team to that same standard, and spot the detail everyone else walks past, this is for you.
You'll be running the day-to-day on grounds maintenance: grass cutting, strimming, hedge work, clearance, planting, and site presentation, plus supporting the tree surgery teams when needed. You'll plan the work, manage the kit, keep the crew moving, and answer for the quality of every job that leaves with your name on it. The finish matters here. A site we've worked on should look better than the client imagined, down to the edges, the clear-up, and the bits most people don't notice.
What we're looking for
We want a grafter who leads from the front, not from the cab. Experience counts for this role, and so do the right tickets.

- You work hard and set the pace for the team
- You have an eye for extreme detail and won't sign off on "good enough"
- You can manage and motivate a crew, not just do the work yourself
- You turn up on time, every time, and expect the same from your team
- You take pride in the work and how the company is represented
- You can plan a day's work and keep it on track
Qualifications and experience:
- Proven grounds maintenance or landscaping experience, ideally in a supervisory or lead role
- PA1/PA6 spraying certificates, brushcutter/strimmer and ride-on mower tickets an advantage
- Relevant arb or horticultural qualifications welcome but not essential
- Full UK driving licence required (trailer/towing entitlement preferred)
- Right to work in the UK is required
