Quantity Surveyor – Join Our Growing Team
Stewart Truman Masonry Ltd is a growing and ambitious brickwork and stonework company delivering high-quality projects across London and the surrounding areas.
We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team and play an important role in managing the commercial and financial aspects of our projects.
We’re looking for someone who is highly organised, commercially minded and detail-focused, with the skills and experience to take ownership of project costs and ensure projects are delivered profitably and efficiently.
The role will include:
- Managing project budgets and costs from tender through to completion
- Preparing and reviewing tenders, quotations and variations
- Monitoring project expenditure and profitability
- Valuing works and preparing applications for payment
- Managing subcontractor and supplier accounts
- Reviewing contracts and commercial terms
- Identifying commercial opportunities and potential risks
- Maintaining accurate project records and financial reporting
- Working closely with project managers, site teams, clients and main contractors
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within construction, brickwork or masonry
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
- The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- A proactive approach and the ambition to grow with the business
- Strong IT and Excel skills
