The Role
You will manage your own caseload of non-contentious Private Client matters while delivering practical, empathetic advice to a broad client base.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Advising clients on Wills, Probate, Estate Administration and Trust matters
- Preparing and drafting Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and other Private Client documentation
- Administering estates from initial instruction through to completion
- Advising clients on succession planning and related Private Client matters
- Managing client files in accordance with regulatory and compliance requirements
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and professional contacts
- Delivering an exceptional standard of client care throughout each matter
- Supporting business development and helping to grow the Private Client department
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider firm
What We're Looking For
We're seeking an experienced Private Client lawyer who enjoys delivering first-class client service and building trusted relationships.
You will ideally have:
- Qualified Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive (CILEX) or equivalent
- 5+ years' PQE in Private Client law
- Strong experience handling Wills, Probate, Estate Administration and Trust matters
- Excellent drafting and technical ability
- Outstanding communication and client relationship skills
- A proactive and organised approach to managing your own caseload
- Commercial awareness and an interest in business development
- A collaborative attitude and commitment to delivering excellent client care
