Job Purpose
The purpose of the role is to develop, manage a successful temporary staffing desk, ensuring clients receive a reliable and high quality staffing service.
You will take responsibility for attracting, recruiting and placing suitable temporary workers, managing their availability and matching them to client requirements. A key part of the role will be building strong relationships with both existing and new clients, understanding their staffing needs and providing an efficient and responsive service.
This is a varied, fast paced role that would be ideal for someone with a recruitment or account management background who enjoys working with people, building relationships and solving problems. It would particularly suit someone looking to move away from a heavily sales-driven recruitment environment, with less focus on hard sales and demanding KPIs, while still managing and developing strong client relationships.
Job Responsibilities
· Help manage and grow a successful temporary staffing desk
· Build strong relationships with existing clients and understand their staffing requirements
· Identify opportunities to develop existing accounts and attract new business
· Manage your own portfolio of clients, ensuring they receive a reliable and responsive service
· Deal with day-to-day client and staffing queries, resolving any issues quickly and professionally
· Work towards agreed targets and objectives for candidate placements, client activity and desk performance
· Regularly contact temporary workers to confirm their availability and maintain strong working relationships
· Keep candidate and client information accurate and up to date on the company system
· Identify when additional temporary staff are required and advertise vacancies across relevant job boards and social media
· Search candidate databases and proactively approach suitable candidates
· Review applications, conduct interviews and assess candidates for suitable roles
· Complete reference and suitability checks before placing candidates with clients
· Brief candidates on their assignments, including duties, working hours, pay and expectations
· Prepare and send suitable candidate information to clients
· Handle any complaints or concerns professionally, escalating to management or HR where required
