Job Title: CQC Operations Manager

Job Purpose
We are looking for an experienced and practical CQC-focused manager to support our growing CQC team and client base. This role is ideal for someone with strong hands-on knowledge of CQC processes, compliance, and operational standards within healthcare services.
The successful candidate will work directly with clients to support them through the full CQC journey, including application and registration, fit person interview preparation, policy development, inspection readiness, ongoing compliance, and general operational guidance. The role will also involve supporting new client enquiries, onboarding new clients, and helping to maintain strong internal CQC processes across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Client Support and CQC Guidance
- Support clients with CQC application and registration processes from start to finish
- Guide clients through the Fit Person Interview process, including preparation and advice
- Advise clients on CQC requirements, next steps, and actions needed to achieve or maintain compliance
- Support clients with inspection readiness and ongoing compliance activity
- Assist clients with responding to compliance concerns, action plans, and operational improvement needs
- Provide practical, solution-focused advice tailored to each client’s service type and stage
Policies, Procedures, and Documentation
- Develop, review, update and tailor policies and Standard Operating Procedures for clients
- Create bespoke compliance documents aligned to individual client needs and service models
- Ensure documentation reflects current regulatory requirements, operational practice and best standards
- Support the implementation of effective governance and compliance frameworks
Client Onboarding and Lead Management
- Manage new client leads and support the onboarding process
- Engage with prospective clients to understand their service, requirements and support needs
- Help convert enquiries into active clients through clear advice, confidence and professional support
- Ensure a smooth handover and onboarding experience for new clients
Internal Team and Process Support
- Support internal CQC systems and processes to ensure consistent, high-quality client delivery
- Contribute to the development of internal templates, tools, policies and working practices
- Work closely with the wider team to ensure deadlines, documentation and client needs are managed effectively
- Maintain accurate records of client work, progress and actions
Person Specification
Essential Experience
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager, Practice Manager, Compliance Manager, or similar operational role
- Strong working knowledge of CQC regulations, registration requirements, inspections and compliance processes
- Experience supporting or leading CQC applications and registrations
- Experience preparing for Fit Person Interviews
- Experience writing, reviewing and adapting policies and Standard Operating Procedures
- Experience advising healthcare clients or services on compliance and operational requirements
- Strong understanding of governance, quality assurance and regulatory standards
- Experience in leadership and management

What the Role Involves
This is a varied and fast-paced role supporting both client-facing work and internal CQC operations. It would suit someone who enjoys combining compliance knowledge with practical client support, problem-solving, policy development and service improvement.
You will play an important part in helping clients understand what is required, what good looks like, and what steps they need to take to move forward confidently.
We are looking for someone with real-world CQC experience who can bring practical knowledge, credibility, and confidence to both our clients and our internal team. This is not a pure consultancy role, we are looking for someone hands-on, proactive and genuinely experienced in CQC-related operations and compliance.

Salary dependant on experience
Pay: £40,000.00-£44,000.00 per year
