The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker / Team Leader to join our established children's home in Nottingham.
You will lead shifts, support and mentor colleagues, build positive relationships with young people, and help maintain a safe, therapeutic, and child-centred environment. Working closely with the management team, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality care and positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading shifts and supporting the day-to-day operation of the home
- Building positive relationships with children and young people
- Supporting education, independence, and life skills development
- Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
- Completing key worker responsibilities and care records
- Supporting and mentoring Residential Support Workers
- Maintaining high safeguarding standards and professional boundaries
- Working collaboratively with families and professionals
What We're Looking For
- Experience within a children's residential care setting
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) [desirable]
- Experience leading shifts and supporting staff
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and child-centred practice
- Positive, resilient, and professional approach
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Right to work in the UK
