Core Responsibilities
- Operational Excellence: Oversee daily store operations, ensuring all beverages are prepared to brand standards (SOP). Manage high-volume footfall efficiently, particularly during peak West End hours and weekends.
- Compliance & Food Safety: Ensure strict adherence to UK Food Hygiene standards (HACCP) and Health & Safety regulations. Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and ensure the store is always "inspection-ready."
- Inventory & Cost Management: Lead inventory audits, manage stock ordering, and monitor wastage. Assist the Store Manager in analyzing COGS (Cost of Goods Sold) to optimize profitability.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor a diverse team. Assist with rota management (scheduling), resolve internal conflicts, and foster a positive, high-performance work culture.
- Customer Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries and feedback. Handle complaints professionally to ensure a premium experience for both local and international guests.
- Performance Tracking: Assist in achieving weekly and monthly sales targets through local store marketing and proactive staff upselling.
Job Requirements
- Legal Right to Work: Must possess a valid and legal right to work in the UK.
- Experience: A minimum of 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience in the UK hospitality or F&B sector (experience in tea, coffee, or fast-casual dining is highly preferred).
- Language Skills: Professional fluency in English is essential. The ability to communicate in Mandarin or Cantonese is a significant advantage given the location and customer demographic.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with UK labor laws and the Food Hygiene Rating scheme (Level 2 or 3 Food Safety Certificate is a plus).
- Operational Agility: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and efficient in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays.
