Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Bank Staff Practitioners/Assistants to join our childcare team. The position is ideal for individuals passionate about early childhood education and looking to gain valuable experience within a nurturing environment, supporting the development and well-being of young children.
As Bank Staff we require the candidate to be able to work between the hours of 7.30-6.00pm, Monday - Friday and be full flexible over the week to cover staff illness, holidays, lunch and tea breaks. The main hours of the position will be between the hours of 11.30am-3.30pm.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the delivery of high-quality early years education and care in accordance with local authority guidelines and policies.
- Assisting with daily routines such as play, meal times, nappy changing, and rest periods.
- Engaging children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning, development, and socialisation.
- Supervising children to ensure their safety and well-being at all times.
- Supporting the planning and organisation of activities that stimulate curiosity and creativity.
- Building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication.
- Assisting with maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for children.
- Adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with children, parents, and team members.
- Experience in childcare or nursery environments will support your ability to adapt quickly to various settings.
