We are seeking an experienced and qualified Commercial Gas Engineer to join our growing team in London. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer to work primarily within commercial plant rooms, maintaining and repairing commercial boilers, heating systems, and associated mechanical plant equipment across a portfolio of commercial buildings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance within commercial plant rooms
- Service, maintain, and repair commercial boilers and gas-fired heating equipment
- Diagnose and rectify faults on commercial heating systems and associated mechanical plant
- Conduct gas safety inspections and ensure all works comply with current regulations and industry standards
- Carry out testing, commissioning, and performance checks on plant room equipment
- Complete service reports, maintenance records, and compliance documentation accurately
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through professional service delivery
- Participate in an on-call rota where required
Requirements:
- Valid Commercial Gas ACS qualifications, including relevant certifications such as CODNCO1, CIGA1, ICPN1, and TPCP1A
- Proven experience working within commercial plant rooms
- Strong knowledge of commercial boilers, heating systems, and mechanical plant equipment
- Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Good understanding of gas safety regulations and building services compliance
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Strong communication and customer service skills
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Experience working on pumps, pressurisation units, expansion vessels, and associated mechanical plant
- Knowledge of BMS controls and HVAC systems
- Electrical fault-finding experience
- LPG qualifications
- Experience within facilities management, building services, or commercial maintenance environments
