asjAcorns Day Nursery is a small family run nursery based in Winnersh with easy access to public transport. We are looking to recruit an Early Years Apprentice at level 2 or 3 to begin their childcare career.
Working alongside the nursery team whilst undertaking training for a period of 12 -18 months to achieve a nationally recognised qualification. Following your training period you will then have the opportunity to apply for suitable role within the nursery which may be available .
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment while developing essential skills in early childhood education and childcare. The Apprentice will work closely with experienced professionals, assisting in various tasks.
Duties
- Assist in the daily care and supervision of children, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Support the planning and implementation of educational activities that promote learning and development.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to foster a positive environment.
- Help manage behaviour and encourage positive interactions among children.
- Participate in maintaining a clean and organised nursery space.
- Observe and report on children's progress and any concerns to senior staff members.
Qualifications
- A passion for working with children and a desire to learn about early childhood education.
- Previous experience in childcare or working with children is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English.
- A willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
