The Wheatsheaf Pub and Restaurant, we have 5 ensuite bedrooms and are looking for a weekend housekeeper to join our team.
Our ideal candidates will have the highest standards and an eye for detail. What will I be doing? As a Housekeeper at The Wheatsheaf, you are responsible for cleaning guest bedrooms, bathrooms and all public areas of the pub and restaurant to a high standard, communicating with other staff/owners, working effectively.
Ensure thorough reporting of any maintenance issues and missing items in guest rooms. Ensure all equipment is in good working order and report any concerns. Keeping outdoor areas clean and tidy. Management of laundry etc.
What are we looking for? To successfully fill this role as Housekeeper at The Wheatsheaf, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow: Positive attitude and willingness to learn. Good communication skills. A neat and tidy appearance. Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations.
Ability to work on your own. Although previous housekeeping experience would be beneficial, it is not essential as full training will be provided. Guests check out at 11 am and in at 4pm so the working day is between these times. Cleaning of the pub/ restaurant will be required around our opening times of 12 at weekends.
