Job Title: Part-Time Chef
Pay: £13.20 per hour
Location: The Ropewalk and Baysgarth house Stables Cafe Barton Upon Humber
Responsible to: Catering Manager and Business Manager
Hours: Week 1: Friday 8.30 am-3.30 pm
Week 2: Friday 12 pm-8 pm, Saturday 8.30 am-3.30 pm, Sunday 8.30am -3.30pm
The Ropewalk Coffee Shop and Baysgarth House Stables Cafe are busy businesses providing a high-quality, predominantly vegetarian menu 6 days a week, currently 10am to 3.30pm.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable cook to join the team to work alongside our current team and be responsible for alternate weekly Pizza/Pasta Nights.
You will:
· Be experienced in working under pressure to tight deadlines in a busy kitchen.
· Experience as a Chef/Cook in a restaurant setting
· Have the relevant qualifications e.g. food hygiene
· Have passion and enthusiasm for cooking and baking
· Be reliable and flexible in your working patterns to cover extra shifts, holidays etc.
· Be able to work closely with a team of kitchen and front-of-house staff to maintain and build our business.
· Maintain a clean and organised work area
· Adhere to all health and safety regulations to keep our current 5* rating.
· Strong communication skills
· Good eye for detail
· Working understanding of kitchen operations and procedures
· Collaborate with our other chefs to create new and exciting menu ideas
