Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Host to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and providing exceptional guest services. As a Host/Host, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive dining experience by effectively communicating with guests and managing the flow of the restaurant.
Duties
- Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and welcoming attitude.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimise guest flow.
- Assist guests with inquiries about the menu and restaurant services.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the entrance and waiting areas.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
- Handle phone calls with professionalism, providing information and taking reservations as needed.
- Collaborate with other team members to enhance the overall guest experience in line with our hospitality standards.
Experience
- Previous experience in a hospitality or restaurant environment is preferred but not essential.
- Strong communication skills, with an emphasis on phone etiquette and guest interaction.
- A passion for helping others and providing outstanding customer service.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure.
- Familiarity with hotel or restaurant operations is advantageous, but we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
