Service Technician / MOT Tester

We are looking for a qualified Service Technician and MOT Tester to join our growing Aftersales team in Elgin.
This is an excellent opportunity to become a key member of our technical department, working with modern vehicle technology, including petrol, diesel, hybrid and fully electric vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs
- Conduct MOT tests to the highest professional standards
- Diagnose faults accurately and complete high-quality repairs
- Aim to achieve first-time fixes for customers
- Record feedback and resolutions through manufacturer technical platforms
- Continue developing your knowledge of new technology, including hybrid and electric vehicles
- Demonstrate best practice and share technical knowledge with colleagues
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop
What We’re Looking For
- A recognised NVQ qualification in Motor Vehicle Technology through IMI, City & Guilds or an equivalent provider
- A valid MOT Tester qualification – essential
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- An air-conditioning qualification – preferred
- Previous franchise experience – desirable but not essential
- Previous EV or hybrid training – advantageous, although full training can be provided
- A positive attitude and a genuine interest in developing and sharing technical knowledge
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
