About the Role:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Health Care Assistant to join our compassionate care team. This is a hands-on leadership role that involves administering medication, overseeing the care team on shift, and delivering high-quality personal care and support to our residents.
We’re looking for someone local who takes pride in delivering person-centered care and has a genuine passion for working in a supportive and homely environment.
This position is a fulltime position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer prescribed medication in line with policies and procedures
- Lead, support and supervise the care team on shift
- Deliver high standards of personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting and mobility assistance
- Promote dignity, independence, and well-being for all residents
- Carry out regular care plan reviews and update records accurately (once trained)
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and external healthcare professionals
- Ensure the home remains a safe and welcoming environment at all times
- Following leader ship from Care Coordinators / Managers
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant or similar role in a health or social care setting
- Medication administration experience is essential
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards) preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Compassionate, reliable, and respectful
- Must be based locally or able to commute reliably
