The Production Manager is accountable for overseeing and managing all production activities, ensuring efficient use of resources to achieve production targets while maintaining high standards of quality, safety and cost effectiveness. Working Monday - Friday 08:30 - 17:00, must be flexible. Closing date for this position will be the 3rd September 2026
Principal Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and optimise production schedules, resources, and capacity to achieve operational targets.
- Ensure compliance with all environmental, health and safety legislation, policies, and company standards.
- Monitor, analyse, and report on KPI’s, implementing corrective actions to drive continuous improvement.
- Lead and promote a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and employee engagement.
- Ensure quality assurance systems are followed and that all products meet quality standards.
- Recruit, develop, coach, and motivate production team to maximise performance and capability.
- Apply and follow company HR policies and procedures relating to recruitment, training, performance management, employee development and all disciplinary matters.
- Conduct regular performance reviews setting clear objectives and support employees to achieve both individual and business goals.
- Foster effective communication throughout to ensure a timely and accurate flow of information across all levels.
- Prepare and present monthly reports on performance, including operational results, improvement initiatives, and action plan.
- Perform all duties in accordance with the company’s values, policies, and professional standards.
- Undertake additional responsibilities and projects appropriate to the role, as reasonably requested by management.
- Demonstrate flexibility in working hours where required to meet operational demands and deadlines.
- Support and maintain compliance with the company’s ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management).

Person Specification
Knowledge & Experience
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience working as a Production Manager in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience of implementing lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies, including waste reduction, workflow optimisation, and 6S workplace organisation.
- Proven track record of achieving and sustaining operational KPI’s targets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholder at all levels of the organisation.
- Experience in Microsoft Office, SAP or other ERP systems.
- Strong ability to manage production operations effectively while ensuring customer requirements, quality standards, and business objectives are consistently achieved.
- Ability to manage workplace challenges, resolve employee relations issues, and make sound operational decisions.
- Collaborative and proactive team player with a commitment to supporting organisational goals and driving operational excellence.
- Hold a minimum of IOSH Managing Safely qualification or equivalent.
