Do you have a knack for spotting top-tier talent? Are you passionate about the hospitality industry and dedicated to finding the perfect people to bring vibrant concepts to life?
Inception Group—an award-winning, wonderfully eccentric hospitality company behind some of London’s most iconic venues—is seeking a proactive, self-starting, and highly motivated Recruitment & Engagement Manager to join our central People Team.
This is a brand-new role in the business, meaning you will have the unique opportunity to truly make it your own. Acting as the ultimate hub for all company-wide vacancies, you will bridge the gap between talent acquisition and long-term retention. If you love building relationships, hunting for the best in the business, and shaping a stellar candidate experience from day one to day 90 and beyond, this is the perfect journey for you.
What You Will Do
1. Talent Acquisition (Getting Great People In)
- The Recruitment Hub: Manage all open roles across the group (hourly and salaried), working closely with the People Director and General Managers to forecast staffing needs and minimise time-to-fill.
- Proactive Sourcing: Build a powerhouse "black book" of hospitality contacts through LinkedIn, Indeed, networking events, site visits, and local community/educational partnerships.
- Systems & ATS Management: Implement and oversee an efficient system for tracking candidates, storing CVs in compliance with GDPR, and sharing top talent effortlessly across our venues.
- Employer Branding: Collaborate with our Marketing team to showcase our incredible culture (and high ENPS scores) on LinkedIn, TikTok, and Instagram, while managing our Glassdoor presence.
- Screening & Selection: Review salaried CVs, conduct engaging first-stage interviews, implement personality styling assessments, and design thorough, creative job descriptions.
- New Openings: Drive the hourly recruitment strategy for new venue launches, including organizing and running high-energy recruitment open days.
2. Engagement (Helping Them To Stay)
- The First 90 Days: Own the candidate experience post-hire, leading check-ins and first-day welcomes for salaried teams to supercharge our 90-day retention rates.
- Manager Training: Coach and upskill our venue managers on Inception Group's core recruitment principles, interview techniques, and best practices.
- DEI Initiatives: Work hand-in-hand with the Head of HR to build, drive, and champion our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion policies.
- People Team Support: As a tight-knit, collaborative People Team, roll up your sleeves to support broader engagement activities and company-wide people priorities when needed.
What You Will Bring to the Table
- Proven Experience: At least 12 months of full-time recruitment experience, with a solid track record of managing an Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Industry Passion: Prior experience recruiting within the hospitality or leisure sectors is highly prioritised. You know what makes a great bartender, floor switch-on, or GM tick.
- A Self-Starter Mentality: Because this is a new role, you need a proactive, motivated approach, with the confidence to build processes from scratch.
- Exceptional Relationship Skills: Natural charisma and top-tier communication skills to engage everyone from entry-level candidates to senior stakeholders.
- Culture Champion: You genuinely embody our fun, creative, and guest-centric culture, acting as the ultimate brand ambassador online and offline.
