Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and vigilant Door Supervisor / Front of House to oversee the safety and security of our clients premises. This role involves managing entry points, ensuring the safety of patrons and staff, and maintaining a welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be attentive to detail, and have a strong sense of responsibility. Experience in customer service, presenting a smart and customer focused persona, and first aid is highly desirable. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where safety and customer service are paramount within 5 Start Hotels.
Duties
- Monitor entry and exit points to ensure only authorised individuals gain access
- Conduct thorough ID checks and manage guest lists as required
- Perform surveillance duties using CCTV systems to identify suspicious activity
- Meet and Greet patrons with good communication skills.
- Maintain a visible presence to deter potential disturbances or misconduct
- Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies, including providing first aid if necessary
- Enforce venue policies and uphold high standards of behaviour among patrons
- Keep detailed incident reports when required
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all visitors
- Assist with general front-of-house duties, including answering questions and providing assistance to guests
Experience
- Previous experience in security, surveillance, or customer service roles is preferred
- Knowledge of CCTV operation and monitoring procedures is advantageous
- Certification in first aid or emergency response is desirable; training can be provided
- Strong observational skills with the ability to recognise potential risks or suspicious behaviour
- Excellent communication skills with a professional demeanour
- Smart appearance with an attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations effectively
- A valid SIA security licence in Door Supervision or Close Protection is required.
