What you'll be doing:We operate seven days a week and are currently looking for two Programming Assistants to join our Visitor Experience team. The anticipated start date is week commencing 13 July 2026.
The roles are part-time, including regular weekend working, on a fixed-term contract until 6 September 2026. We expect you’ll work four days per week once the school holidays start.
As the largest conservation charity in Europe, we work hard to raise funds to continue to care for our sites forever for everyone. Visitors are at the heart of what we do, and you’ll be responsible for delivering excellent service every day. There is plenty of opportunity to learn new skills and support will be available for leading activities. You'll be engaging with visitors and gathering people to take part in the games and activities that you'll lead.
This is a hands-on, active outdoor role where no two days are the same. You’ll keep everything looking its best and make sure visitors feel informed, welcome, and ready to get involved.
From leading fun activities to keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes, you’ll be out and about throughout the day, topping up resources, cleaning up signage, and making sure the play areas are safe, tidy, and ready for action. Whether it’s a quick litter pick or a friendly chat with visitors, you’ll play a key part in creating a brilliant experience for everyone who visits.
