Housekeeper – Victoria Square Hotel, Clifton Village, Bristol
Victoria Square Hotel is a privately owned boutique hotel located in the heart of beautiful Clifton Village, Bristol. We are a small, friendly team dedicated to maintaining high standards and a welcoming atmosphere for all our guests.
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and motivated Housekeeper to join our team. This is a physically active, hands-on role in a small hotel where housekeeping plays a key part in the smooth running of daily operations.
About the Role
In a smaller hotel environment, housekeeping is varied and fast-paced, requiring flexibility, efficiency, and excellent attention to detail.
Please note that the hotel does not have a lift, so this role involves regularly going up and down stairs and carrying linen, towels, and cleaning supplies between floors throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning and maintaining guest rooms, bathrooms, and public areas to a high standard
- Hoovering, dusting, polishing, and ensuring all areas are guest-ready
- Transporting clean and used linen across multiple floors
- Organising housekeeping supplies and ensuring stock levels are maintained
- Working closely with the team to ensure smooth daily operations
- Supporting overall hotel standards through consistency and attention to detail
What We’re Looking For
- A reliable and punctual individual who can commit to year-round work (excluding the hotel’s Christmas closure period)
- Someone physically fit and comfortable with an active role, including frequent stair use and carrying linen/supplies
- Previous housekeeping or hotel experience is preferred
- A strong team player with a positive, can-do attitude
- Someone who is keen to build a long-term career in housekeeping and progress within the role
- Good attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards
Working Hours
- Part time
- Morning shifts only (starting at 08:00 or 09:00 as rostered)
- Includes Sunday mornings on rotation
- No evening shifts
Additional Information
- This is a permanent position
- The hotel closes over the Christmas period
- Consistent availability throughout the year is required
Pay & Benefits
