We're a growing fencing, gates and groundworks contractor based in Lichfield, expanding into automated entrance security (gates, intercoms, ANPR, CCTV). We're looking for a self-employed installer to join us on subcontract, day-rate work.
The Work
- Fencing: steel mesh fencing (weldmesh/twin-wire panel systems) — commercial, industrial and security sites
- Gates: manual and automated
- Groundworks: hardstanding, drainage, site prep
- Entrance security installs (training/support given if you're keen to learn this side — electrical or low-voltage experience is a bonus, not essential)
Experience Wanted
Steel mesh panel fencing experience preferred — post setting (concrete-in or bolt-down bases), panel/clamp bar fixing, and working to line and level on commercial/security sites. Happy to hear from agricultural or timber fencers looking to move into mesh/security work too, provided you're competent with groundwork and post setting.
Rate
£120–£275 per day, depending on experience and skill set.
What We Need
- Own tools and own transport — essential
- Own PPE
- CSCS card (or actively working towards one)
- Right to work in the UK
- Any level considered — from competent labourer through to experienced lead installer. Tell us your experience and we'll match the rate accordingly.
- CPCS/NPORS ticket a plus if you can turn a hand to plant
