We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cladding Labourer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with the installation, fabrication, and finishing of exterior cladding systems on various building projects. Your energy and precision will contribute to creating visually stunning and durable facades that meet project specifications. Duties
- Assist with the installation of cladding materials according to project schematics and technical drawings
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently
- Support the setup and dismantling of scaffolding, ladders, and other access equipment
- Perform heavy lifting tasks to move materials and components into position safely
- Use welding techniques where necessary to join metal cladding elements securely
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all phases of work, including roofing, masonry, plumbing, and carpentry tasks involved in cladding installation
- Conduct quality checks to ensure alignment, finish, and adherence to design specifications
Skills
- Strong understanding of construction processes with experience in roofing, masonry, carpentry, or plumbing is highly desirable
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings for precise installation guidance
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques
- Knowledge of safety standards related to heavy lifting, working at heights, and use of scaffolding or ladders
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude towards learning new skills and techniques
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting and extended periods of standing or climbing ladders/scaffolds
- Basic understanding of construction site protocols and safety regulations
