Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tiler to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining tiled surfaces in various settings, ensuring high standards of quality and safety. Duties
- Measure and prepare surfaces for tiling, including surface cleaning and levelling
- Cut tiles accurately using hand tools and power tools to fit specified dimensions and patterns
- Lay tiles according to schematics, ensuring proper alignment and spacing
- Apply adhesive or mortar evenly to surfaces before placing tiles
- Grout tiles once adhesive has set, ensuring a smooth and uniform finish
- Inspect completed work for quality, durability, and adherence to specifications
- Assist with related tasks such as construction painting or carpentry as required on-site
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
Requirements
- Proven experience in tiling or related construction roles
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and schematics interpretation
- Knowledge of construction painting and carpentry is advantageous
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on precision finishing
- Good organisational skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Physical fitness to handle lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Relevant construction experience including familiarity with safety protocols is preferred
