Are you an enthusiastic, organised individual with excellent communication and administrative skills?
We're looking for a friendly and professional Dental Receptionist to join our front-of-house team on Thursdays and Fridays.
The ideal candidate will be confident using computer systems, able to communicate clearly with patients and colleagues, and committed to delivering exceptional customer service.
Due to internal restructuring, we have an exciting opportunity for the right person to play a vital role in delivering a warm and efficient patient experience at our independent, owner-managed, 6-surgery practice in Plymouth.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Welcoming patients and creating a calm, friendly environment
- Managing appointment bookings, cancellations and enquiries (phone/email/in-person)
- Supporting patients with check-in, medical forms, and payment processing
- Coordinating with clinical and nursing staff to ensure smooth daily operations
- Ensuring the reception area is always tidy, professional, and patient-focused

What We’re Looking For:
- Previous dental or medical reception experience (preferred but not essential)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently and professionally with patients, colleagues, and external contacts
- Strong IT skills and confidence using computer-based systems, email, and appointment management software
- Good attention to detail and accuracy when handling patient records and correspondence
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities
- A friendly, professional, and patient-focused approach
- A calm, proactive attitude and the ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
- Experience using R4+ dental software would be an advantage, but full training will be provided.
