Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by managing the flow of goods in and out of the facility, kitting for production and picking for sub-contractor jobs & sales order shipments. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Sign for goods in deliveries.
- Checking deliveries and booking goods into ERP on handheld.
- Ensuring all parts are located correctly and clearly marked with part numbers.
- Picking parts for manufacturing jobs using ERP on handheld.
- Deliver kits to production in time for job start.
- Pick inventory for shipment to sub-contractors.
- Checking discrepancies within ERP and advise of any adjustments to the system if required.
- Completing daily cycle counts to ensure inventory levels are accurate.
- Assisting with annual stock take.
- Entering of any other transactions required onto ERP as necessary.
- Picking sales orders/ Works orders and any other part requested by production.
- Loading and un-loading of Lorries/ Containers if required using forklift truck.
- Using the systems to create shipments via the hand held device and barcode scanning
- Checking items to be shipped against despatch notes
- Ensure shipments are correctly labelled
- To ensure warehouse inventory is rotated first in first out (FIFO)
- Making cartons and packing products
- Creating pallet specifications
- Creating paperwork for freight forwarding
- To aid Audiotonix Group warehousing & despatch when required
Qualifications
- Forklift License preferred but not essential. (If Forklift License is a requirement, then a current full driving license must be held)
Experience
- Experience working in a Production Warehouse environment.
- Experience with using handheld ERP systems.
- Good organisational skills.
- Warehouse experience: 2 years (required).
Attributes
- Must be able to confidently lift boxes up to 20kg independently.
- Able to meet or exceed targets in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Good organisational skills.
- Confident computer user.
