Apprentice Dental Nurse
Baycliff Dental Surgery is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Dental Nurse to join our friendly and growing team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to start or develop their career in dentistry. We are ideally looking for someone who has some previous dental experience, although we would also consider applicants who demonstrate the right attitude, enthusiasm and commitment to learning.
The role
As an Apprentice Dental Nurse, you will work closely with our dentists and wider clinical team, gaining hands-on experience in all aspects of dental nursing while working towards your recognised dental nursing qualification.
- Assisting dentists and clinicians during a wide range of treatments
- Preparing surgeries and ensuring they are fully stocked and ready for patients
- Cleaning, sterilising and maintaining dental instruments in line with current regulations
- Supporting excellent infection prevention and control standards
- Welcoming and reassuring patients throughout their appointments
- Maintaining accurate clinical records
- Supporting the smooth running of the practice
- Following all relevant health, safety and dental compliance procedures

Previous dental experience is desirable, but not essential. We are particularly interested in candidates who have a genuine interest in dentistry and are keen to build a long-term career within the profession.
