Overview
We are seeking an experienced Learning Disability Support Worker to join our team on a part-time basis. This role involves providing tailored support to adults with learning disabilities/Autism across a variety of settings. You will need to be able to work flexibly including some Saturdays. You will have a passion for promoting the rights of vulnerable adults and value diversity and inclusion.
Our settings include a activity hubs, a training house and a charity shop. Duties are very varied and could include supporting our learners to the gym, running a cooking group, supporting learners to learn work skills in our shop.
All hours are daytime work.
Duties
- Support adults with learning disabilities in daily activities, promoting independence and confidence
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to improve social skills & self-esteem
- Facilitate engaging activities that promote learning & development
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents and external professionals
- Valid driving licence and car insured for business use
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Pay: £13.35-£13.60 per hour
