Working Hours: Shift pattern of mornings (6am -2pm) and afternoons (2pm-10pm) this is worked alternative weeks. You would also be required to work one Sunday in four.

Ysgol Bae Baglan offers an exciting opportunity to work within a state-of-the-art educational and community facility. The Governors are seeking to appoint a permanent Caretaker, working 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.

Previous experience in a similar role is not essential; however, experience in room setup, basic maintenance/DIY, and working within a school environment would be advantageous.

We are looking for an individual who demonstrates:
Experience in general property maintenance
A sound understanding of fire safety and health and safety procedures
A committed, flexible, and reliable approach to work
The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
A high regard for personal and others’ safety, with particular attention to safeguarding children
The role involves a shift pattern of alternating weeks:
Morning shift: 6:00am – 2:00pm
Afternoon shift: 2:00pm – 10:00pm
In addition, the successful candidate will be required to work one Sunday in every four. Duties will include opening and closing the school facilities as part of the role.
