Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Bar Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving beverages, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role offers an opportunity to work in a lively hospitality environment, engaging with diverse customers and contributing to a memorable experience.
The venue is open mainly on a daytime basis but with I event night.
We are looking for someone who can work, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Duties
- Serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages efficiently and courteously.
- Take orders accurately and handle cash or card payments using the POS system.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including glassware and utensils.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth service throughout shifts.
- Monitor customer behaviour to promote responsible drinking and adherence to licensing laws.
- Assist in setting up events or special occasions as required.
- Engage with customers to create a friendly and welcoming environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a bar is essential
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in bar service.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Good time management skills to ensure prompt service during busy periods.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or special events as needed.
