Support Companion for the Elderly – Join Our Caring Team
We are looking for kind, reliable and compassionate individuals to join our team as Support Companions, providing meaningful companionship to elderly clients in the community.
This role is focused purely on companionship and support with day-to-day activities — there is no personal care involved. You will play an important role in improving the wellbeing and quality of life of our clients by offering friendly company and a helping hand.
As a Support Companion at Happy Hearts Support, you will spend quality time with clients through activities such as enjoying a chat over a cup of tea, going for gentle walks, watching their favourite films or TV programmes, and accompanying them on outings. You may also assist with tasks such as grocery shopping and driving or accompanying clients to GP or hospital appointments.
We are looking for individuals who are naturally caring, patient, and enjoy building genuine connections with others. A positive attitude, good communication skills, and reliability are essential for this role.

Responsibilities
- Provide friendly companionship and emotional support to clients
- Engage in meaningful conversations and social activities
- Accompany clients on walks and light outings
- Support clients with grocery shopping and everyday errands
- Drive or accompany clients to GP, hospital, or other appointments
- Assist with light household support such as making tea or simple meals (no personal care)
- Ensure clients feel safe, comfortable, and valued at all times
- Must have a full UK driving licence and access to own car.
- Build trusting relationships with clients and their families
- Maintain clear communication with the team regarding visits and any concerns
Pay: £11.50-£13.00 per hour
