Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and professional Painter and Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality painting and decorating services across various residential and commercial projects.
This role requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. A valid driving licence is preferred for travel between sites. The successful applicant will contribute to creating aesthetically pleasing environments through expert craftsmanship and a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling, and masking to ensure a smooth finish.
- Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other decorative finishes with precision and care.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company standards.
- Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines without compromising quality.
- Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and supervisors regarding project progress or issues.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good condition, reporting any repairs or replacements needed.
- Assist in the organisation of materials and supplies for each project to optimise workflow.
Requirements
- Proven experience in painting and decorating is required.
- A valid driving licence to facilitate travel between different sites is preferred.
- Fluency in English with strong communication skills for liaising with clients and team members.
- Good organisational skills with an organised approach to managing tasks efficiently.
- Knowledge of health and safety practices relevant to painting and decorating work.
- A professional attitude with a keen eye for detail and craftsmanship.
