Fluidic are an established instrumentation company with over 30 years in business. We partner several blue-chip manufacturers to provide instrumentation products and services across the UK. Our main customer base covers the process industry. This includes, but is not limited to, Nuclear Power generation and decommissioning, Oil and Gas, Petrochemical and Pharmaceutical manufacture. We are looking for a Business Development Manager based within our Fluidic Northern branch in Warrington to help continue company growth.
Job Description
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, as a Business Development Manager with Fluidic your main responsibility is to drive company growth through lead generation, account management and new client engagement.
Typically, this includes:
- Working with our marketing team to proactively develop business through direct marketing techniques
- Following up leads from marketing campaigns and exhibitions
- Visiting and exhibiting at trade shows and networking events
- Client visits (which may necessitate occasional overnight stay and travel within Northern England/Wales). There is no defined split for client visits, but we envisage 1-2 days per week normally with 3-4 days office based.
- Working with our sales team ensure best customer support and maximising sales opportunities
- Working with technical support from our sales engineers.
- Whilst business development is the primary focus of the role, the successful candidate will also act as the local supervisor for our Warrington office, providing day-to-day oversight and acting as a liaison with senior management. This additional responsibility is reflected in salary.
- Market research to discover new project leads and applications
- Updating our CRM system
- Key Account management

Job Role Requirements
- Sales experience, particularly a strong telephone manner and face-to-face sales experience is essential
- Supervisory or person-management experience also of benefit
- This job role requires a “people person”. A strong communicator and someone with drive and ambition.
- It is most important that we find an effective team player, someone that shares our values and vision
- Some technical experience an advantage. Experience in a process industry an obvious benefit, but not essential.
- Ideally the successful candidate will have some knowledge of quality systems, but training will be provided.
- A basic knowledge of PC systems, including MS Word, Excel and email essential.
- A positive attitude and ambition to develop and grow individually and with the team
Pay: £50,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
