Salary: £31,578 to £39,903 (Grade 3-4) dependent on level of experience
Holidays: 23 rising to 27 days over five years plus eight bank holidays and three
additional statutory days
Pension: NEST Pension Scheme 6% employer contribution
Hours: 74 hours over a nine-day fortnight. Every other Friday is your time!

Trent Valley Internal Drainage Board, part of the Water Management Consortium, manages 18 pumping stations and 723km of watercourses that protect assets across an area of over 44,000 hectares. We are dedicated to providing an effective and efficient service, managing water levels within the area to protect communities, farmland, biodiversity, businesses and infrastructure.
The Role:
This role presents an excellent opportunity for a motivated person who is able to work on their own initiative as part of a team which is spread over multiple locations and has a keen interest in developing an understanding of the Board’s functions and purpose.
The Rating and Finance Assistant whilst based at Newark will be part of our wider Finance Team and will provide Rating and Finance services, including being the first point of contact with our customers to communicate and collect land drainage rate payments. The Rating and Finance Assistant will also support the financial and administrative processes for the Board.
The successful candidate will be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programmes such as Word and Excel, have an understanding of Data Protection legislation and excellent communication skills.
Experience working in a finance team, or similar, processing invoices and other financial transactions is essential. Previous knowledge or experience in a similar role would be beneficial.
