Overview
We are seeking a skilled Installation Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in a variety of settings. Responsibilities
- Install electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in new and existing structures according to technical specifications and safety regulations.
- Read and interpret electrical diagrams, blueprints, and technical drawings to plan installation procedures.
- Use hand tools and power tools efficiently to complete installations accurately and safely.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify faults or potential issues.
- Troubleshoot electrical problems and perform repairs or replacements as necessary.
- Ensure all work complies with current electrical codes and safety standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other tradespeople to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and inspections carried out.
Skills
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, and multimeters.
- Experience with power tools including drills, saws, and cable cutters.
- Solid electrical experience with a good understanding of wiring methods, circuitry, and safety protocols.
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot electrical issues effectively.
- Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently on-site.
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and clients.
